Jon H. Lemke, Ph.D.

Jon H. Lemke, Ph.D. is the Chief of Biostatistics for the Genesis Health System in Davenport, Iowa. From 1980 through 2002 he was on the Biostatistics faculty at the University of Iowa. His theoretical research focuses upon order restricted inference and clinical trials, and he has collaborated most extensively on research in aging and sepsis. In his last three years at the University of Iowa he was the Associate Director for Research in the University of Iowa Center on Aging. His research interests in dementia go back over twenty six years prior to Alzheimer's Disease even being listed on death certificates. Dr. Lemke was the co-investigating biostatistician for the eleven year Iowa 65+ Rural Health Study as part of NIA's Established Populations for the Epidemiologic Studies of the Elderly (EPESE). He also developed and collaborated on two additional grants specific to Alzheimer's Disease.

As Director for Research in the University of Iowa Center on Aging, he also sponsored and monitored every other project focusing on dementia in the elderly. He has co-authored at least 75 articles with over 150 co-authors from the FDA, NIA, CDC and over 14 universities. Dr. Lemke has consulted with Alpha Therapeutics, Amgen, Boehringer-Ingelheim, East/West Center (representing NIA for the design of aging studies in Japan), Genesis Medical Center, Knoll AG Pharmaceuticals/BASF, Mayo Clinic, Merck and Company, Monsanto, Searle, Swiss Red Cross, and Synergen, as well as many individual physicians. Dr. Lemke received his Ph.D. in Statistics from The Pennsylvania State University. Jon Lemke brings to Edunn an ability to design clinical trials with insights acknowledged by FDA as well as industry.
